Start the day with breakfast from Grød

Grod serves traditional Danish porridge, but with a modern twist. It is the perfect belly warmer to start your day.

What to eat: Make your own porridge with the granola, banana, and blueberry toppings.

Location: Torvehallerne Food Fall, Frederiksborggade 21, 1360 København K

Take a pastry cooking class at CPH Cooking Class

Denmark is known for having incredible Danish pastries. There are plenty of bakeries to buy a pastry from but it is so much more rewarding to make one yourself. CPH Cooking Class is the perfect place to learn how.

The Danish Pastry class consisted of creating laminated dough from scratch to make three different Danish pastries. After about three hours, we ended up with the most delicious, flaky, and buttery pastries ever (the cinnamon roll was my favorite).

The instruction, atmosphere, and end product was top notch. I am not a baker and really enjoyed the whole experience.

If baking is not your thing, CPH Cooking Class offers a wide variety of other cooking classes.

Check out their website for more info: www.copenhagencookingclass.com

Grab lunch at Reffen

Reffen is an outdoor food market featuring a variety of foods stalls. It is a foodie’s paradise with options ranging from hot dogs, to street tacos, to pasta stands, to pastries, and much more.

What to eat: Pepito steak sandwich from Fuego

Wander around Freetown Christiania

No trip to Copenhagen is complete without visiting Christiania.

Christiania is a self-proclaimed autonomous district in Copenhagen. It runs completely separate from the city with their own rules and regulations.

It is really quite a quirky, unique place to explore. Every street you wander through has something eye catching to see.

Here are few awesome stops to make you visit Christiania:

  • Christiania Art Gallery

  • Green George the Troll (this is really awesome if you have children with you. We did not have kids with us and I thought it was pretty awesome too haha)

  • Christiania Bryghus, The Lab Brewery

  • Sunshine bakery for a slice of ‘dream cake"‘

Take a Beer Walk Tour with Politically Incorrect Tours

A food or alcohol tour is a must when visiting any new city. What better tour is there when you combine alcohol and dirty jokes? Sounds like a good time to me!

Politically Incorrect Tours offers a Beer Walk tour of the Vesterbro neighborhood, known as one of the coolest areas of the city, every day from 4:30-6:30pm. Our guide took us to different parts of the neighborhood, chatted about the history, told some politically incorrect jokes as we sampled beer from the orange cooler. We sampled 9 different beers, totaling about 1 liter.

It was a really unique way to see the city and try local Danish beers.

You can book the tour through my Viator link below.

Finish the day with dinner at Neni-Copenhagen

Neni-Copenhagen is the perfect way to end your day. Their menu is a combination of Israeli, Meditteranian, and European Cuisine. It is absolutely delicious.

Must Eat: Neni Homemade Hummus Plate, Neni Chicken Shawarma, and the Grilled Ribeye Steak.

Location: Inside the 25hours Hotel Indre By, Pilestræde 65, 1112 København, Denmark
